Wonderbird besucht die Projekte von Licht für die Welt.
Wonderbird will die Welt sehen und von ihr berichten. Also geht er auf Reisen. Familie, Freunde, Farbfernseher - er lässt
alles hinter sich, was ihm lieb ist; wählt die zweitschönste Art sich fortbewegen, schwingt sich aufs
Fahrrad und fährt der Sonne
entgegen.
Wonderbird meint: Nur fliegen ist schöner.
Warum das alles? Nun, zum einen treibt Wonderbird die Wanderlust, zum
andern möchte er etwas für seine Mitmenschen tun. Daher hat er sich mit Licht für die Welt zusammengetan, um von ihren Projekten in
Indien und Nepal zu berichten und für ihre Sache zu werben. Licht für
die Welt ist eine der größten Fachorganisationen für blinde und anders
behinderte Menschen in sogenannten Entwicklungsländern.
Wonderbird berichtet
Wir nehmen Laptop und Kamera mit, um euch nicht nur Text, sondern auch Bild und Ton liefern zu
können. Das sichtbare Ergebnis werden also neben Artikeln auch Videos
sein, die Wonderbird noch während seiner Reise veröffentlicht.
Das Ziel unserer Fahrradreise sind die Projekte von Licht für die Welt
in Nordost-Indien. Der Weg bis dorthin ist aber bekanntlich eine langer
- genug Zeit, unterwegs auch andere Berichte in Angriff zu nehmen und von anderen
Projekten zu berichten, die auf der Strecke liegen. Dabei haben es
Wonderbird vor allem Themen mit Brisanz für Mensch, Natur und Fahrrad
angetan. Eine vorläufige Auswahl findet sich in der Rubrik "Geplante

On year through Asia by bicycle –
Wonderbird is going to visit the projects of light for the
world.
Wonderbird is going on a trip to see the world and report on
his experiences. He leaves behind his life of comfort to
live on the road, heading towards the sun by bicycle.
Wonderbird says: Only flying is better
Why do they do that? On the on hand Wonderbird is driven by
Wanderlust, on the other he wants to do something good.
That’s why he works together with Light for the world, a
non-governmental development organisation committed to
helping people who have eye diseases, are blind or otherwise
disabled in underprivileged regions of our world,
irrespective of gender, origin, ethnicity or religion.
Wonderbird is reporting
Text, image and sound – we have all of it. We take our
camcorder and our laptop with us, to be able to produce
videos, which will be placed on our site while we’re still
on our journey.
The destination of our bicycle trip is the projects of Light
for the world in north-eastern India. To get there we have
to go a long way, which is why there’s plenty of time to
report on other projects we come across. We have topics in
mind that are related to the environment, to cycling and to
social issues. Most of the reports will be written in
German, sorry for that! But you can still watch the videos,
which will be mostly in English or at least with English
subtitles. |
